There are many different ways to cut cards.

The first method is drawing a 2.5x3.5 inch rectangle in ink (so you don't lose it in your drawing. Draw or paint your card out using your favorite medium. Then use a razor knife and a metal ruler to cut around the card.

Another way is to cut your cards first. Measure out your paper into as many cards as you can fit on one sheet. Then cut them out using a razor knife and a metal ruler.

Die cutters are also a good way to cut out your cards. They are precise and make all of your cards the exact same size. Depending on the die cutting method, this could waste a bit of paper. However, if you are into making recycled paper items, then this wouldn't be a problem at all. Just recycle your leftover paper bits. Personally, I like making paper clay from my leftovers and using it for other crafts.

The electronic die cutter is the best method, but there really are a lot of different electronic die cutters out there. Be sure to read through their features, versions, and requirements before you make any purchases! These aren't cheap.
