First off... This may seem like a lot of information to take in, but it actually rather simple. There are some rules to how this is done, but basically, if you draw cards and then send them, you will get the same amount in return! They are random returns, so you will be surprised on the cards you receive back in the post. However, there are a few specifics, so please read through this thoroughly before you decide to join the swaps.

You need to be a member of the Swap Player Group. This is your validation for participation in all hosted swaps on the forum. To apply for the group, please use the application form found in the menu under the header labeled "Forms". If you are not part of the usergroup, you are not allowed to participate. This is for the protection of everyone. We don't want anyone getting "stiffed" from trades and swaps.

All swap themes are listed in the titles, along with the due dates. These MUST be adhered to.

For example, if the topic is formed like this:

Teeth and Fangs - August 15, 2021

This means that the theme of the swap is about teeth and fangs. This could be dog teeth, vampire fangs, cat toofs, or whatever. The date means that your cards MUST be in the post and on the way BEFORE that date has arrived.

When you participate in a swap, you must keep your host, and the other players informed about your progress.

You must post your finished cards in the topic for the other players to see, as well as the host and admins. This is to ensure that you actually have work to send. If you do not post your updates, it will be assumed that you have decided not to play, and you will be removed from the swap. If you still send your cards in after you have been removed, they will be returned to you without swapping. This is to ensure the fairness of the swaps. No secrets!

What do you do with your cards??

After you have created your cards, you must contact your host before you send them. Each host will have a different address. We don't all live together
ALWAYS contact your host BEFORE you send your cards. Sometimes people need to move. Addresses change, so sending your cards to an old address would be really bad.

Players must provide their own postage. This can be done through PayPal or other means determined by your host.

What do we do with your cards???

Well, we put them all in a pile, upside down. Then we shuffle them around and randomly put cards back into piles. You shouldn't ever get your own cards back, but sometimes it is a possibility. If that is the case, please inform your host so measures can be made to get you another card. Mistakes happen, but you won't have to pay for it. And yes, proof will need to be provided.

But who is your host, you ask??

Your host is the person who starts the swap. It could be me, or it could be another member. When you have any questions about a specific swap, you will need to contact your host. If you need help determining who the host is, you can contact an admin or moderator.

What happens if you need to withdraw from a swap?

You contact your host. Your host will then remove you from the list and continue the swap without you. Sometimes things happen. Life is pretty unpredictable. So in the case of needing to withdraw, don't feel bad, just let us know so we don't end up with a held up swap.

-----

There are several "prefixes" to the topics.

[OPEN] means that you can signup to this swap.
[CLOSED] means that the swap is still going on, but it is closed to signups. Better luck next time.
[COMPLETED] means the swap is over. All returns have been collected.
[CANCELLED] means the swap was cancelled. Sometimes that happens.

Be sure you only sign up to the [OPEN] swaps.

I will update these terms as time progresses. If you see this topic bumped, be sure you come read it.

EDIT
When we get more participants, and different levels of technical skill, we will do the returns a little differently. But for now, we have decided that random is best. We want everyone to get a decent chance of receiving the cards they want. If you are worried about whether or not you are going to get a "bad card," then it is probably best to stick with personal trades. This way you won't be surprised or disappointed by your returns.

Remember, this is all just for fun.
