Sketch cards are one-of-a-kind, hand-drawn, signed pieces of artwork on a small piece of card or thick paper. They are usually 2.5" x 3.5" – though this can range up to 'oversize' cards of 3.5" x 5".
There are also ACEOs (Artist Cards, Editions and Originals) and ATCs (Art Trading Cards). However, there are differences in the terms.

- ACEO is usually referred to when doing prints. These can also include originals in a series.
- ATCs are commonly done in all kinds of mediums. Paint and collage are some of the most practiced.
- Sketch Cards are usually only done in pencils. These can be graphite, charcoal, and color.
